PhysioXtra Rehab Centre brings together an experienced team of physiotherapists with expertise in neurological and orthopaedic therapy, including robotic-assisted therapy.
We support children and adults living with a range of neurological and orthopaedic conditions, including cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, traumatic or acquired brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury.
Our physiotherapists work closely with clients, families and support teams to create therapy programs that are tailored to each person. Goals may include moving more easily, building strength, improving independence or taking part more confidently in everyday activities.
We use evidence-informed physiotherapy and advanced therapy technology to help clients practise movement, build confidence and work towards goals that matter in daily life.

PhysioXtra Rehab Centre supports children and adults with a wide range of neurological, developmental and orthopaedic conditions.
We work with clients who may be experiencing changes in mobility, strength, balance, coordination, walking ability or independence following injury, illness or as part of a long-term condition.
Our clients may include people living with:
Therapy is tailored to the individual, with each program focused on the client’s abilities, priorities and meaningful everyday goals.

Our Eastwood and Marion therapy centres offer specialised technology, gym-based therapy and personalised physiotherapy programs in supportive and accessible spaces.
Lokomat robotic-assisted walking therapy is available at both our Eastwood and Marion clinics.
The Lokomat helps clients practise walking in a safe and controlled way. It uses robotic assistance and body-weight support, which can be adjusted to suit each person’s ability, comfort and goals.
For people with significant mobility challenges, Lokomat therapy may help with walking practice, leg movement, strength, endurance and confidence when standing or walking.
PhysioXtra Rehab Centre is the only private physiotherapy practice in South Australia offering Lokomat therapy, giving clients access to this specialised technology as part of a personalised therapy program.
Our physiotherapists will help decide whether Lokomat therapy is suitable and how it can fit into each client’s broader therapy plan.

Body weight-supported treadmill training helps clients practise walking in a safe and supported environment.
An overhead harness supports part of the client’s body weight while they walk on the treadmill. This can make walking feel easier and help clients focus on stepping, posture, balance and walking quality.
The level of support can be adjusted to suit each client’s abilities and gradually reduced as strength, confidence and walking capacity improve.
This training may be included in a therapy program for clients working on walking, leg strength, endurance, balance and everyday mobility.
The ArmeoSpring is available at our Eastwood clinic and is designed to support upper-limb therapy.
The ArmeoSpring uses adjustable arm support and interactive exercises to help clients practise reaching and arm movements in an engaging way.
Therapy can be tailored to each person’s abilities and goals. It may help clients work on movement control, range of motion, coordination, endurance and everyday use of the arm.
ArmeoSpring therapy may be suitable for clients with neurological or orthopaedic conditions affecting arm movement and function.

Our Marion clinic features a private hydrotherapy pool equipped with an underwater treadmill and hoist to support safe and accessible pool entry and exercise.
Heated to approximately 32°C, the pool provides a comfortable therapy environment. Warm water can help relax muscles and support joint comfort, while buoyancy can make movement easier.
Hydrotherapy programs are prescribed by our physiotherapists and may include walking, strengthening, balance, mobility and everyday movement exercises, depending on each client’s needs and goals.
Our Eastwood and Marion clinics include dedicated therapy gyms equipped with a range of modern exercise and therapy equipment.
These spaces provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where clients can work on strength, balance, mobility, endurance and everyday movement with guidance from experienced physiotherapists.
Programs are tailored to each client and can be progressed as their abilities, confidence and therapy goals change.

Clients, families, support coordinators and healthcare professionals are welcome to contact our team to discuss available therapy options.
Our physiotherapists can help determine which services may be appropriate based on the client’s current abilities, goals and therapy needs.
The process starts with a free initial teleconsult. This is followed by a physiotherapy assessment to understand the client’s needs, goals and suitability for therapy. From there, our team develops a personalised therapy plan. Where appropriate, this may include Lokomat therapy, body weight-supported treadmill training, ArmeoSpring therapy, hydrotherapy or gym-based therapy.
